Participants<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Participation is open to professionals and beginners, regardless of age, country or language.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Language<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The official languages of the WATERLAT-GOBACIT Network are English, Portuguese, and Spanish. In cases where the original<br \/>\nversion of the video is in a different language, <strong>we require subtitles<\/strong> in any of three official languages<br \/>\nof the Network.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Duration<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The videos will have a <b><i>maximum length of 15 minutes.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>4. Themes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The competition proposes <strong>three themes<\/strong> for the videos. It is possible to address more than one theme in a<br \/>\nvideo, but <strong>one of the proposed three themes must receive priority<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"themes\"><strong>Theme 1<\/strong><br \/>\nThis is the general theme of the Network\u2019s IX Meeting: <strong> Water, rights, and utopias: priorities in the process of democratization of water politics<\/strong>.<strong>Theme 2<\/strong><br \/>\nThe second theme is <strong>Water and health<\/strong>, which is the object of the Network\u2019s<br \/>\n<a href=\" https:\/\/roxpublicidade.com.br\/waterlat\/01\/thematic-areas\/ta5\/ \">Thematic Area 5<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Theme 3<\/strong>. The third theme is <strong>The right to water in semi-arid regions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>5. Categories<\/strong><br \/>\nThe videos can be presented in the following categories:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"lista\">\n<li>Animation<\/li>\n<li>Documentary<\/li>\n<li>Interview<\/li>\n<li>Fiction<\/li>\n<li>Open category (it can be a mix of categories, and can also include educational materials, journalistic research, etc.).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>6. Criteria<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Contribution to the Network\u2019s\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/roxpublicidade.com.br\/waterlat\/01\/es\/comienzo\/objetivos\/\">objectives <\/a>and<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/roxpublicidade.com.br\/waterlat\/01\/es\/comienzo\/prioridades-de-investigacion\/\">research priorities<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Consistency with the theme chosen (point4).<\/li>\n<li>Pertinence to the category (point 5).<\/li>\n<li>Conceptual consistency.<\/li>\n<li>Clarity of the message.<\/li>\n<li>Quality of production.<\/li>\n<li>Visual aesthetics.<\/li>\n<li>Focus and reach of the message (specification of the public or publics addressed, etc.).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>7. Format<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Digital media in one of the following formts:: .MOV; .MPEG4; .AVI; .WMV; .MPEGPS; .FLV; .3GPP; .WebM<\/p>\n<p><strong>8. Presentation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Those interested in participating in the Competition must send an e-mail to the <a href=\"mailto:redwaterlat@gmail.com\">WATERLAT-GOBACIT Network\u2019s Secretariat<\/a>,<br \/>\nwith the following information:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"lista\">\n<li>Complete name of the author\/s of the video.<\/li>\n<li>Complete name of the contact person.<\/li>\n<li>Complete contact details of the contact person (full address, city, country, telephone, e-mail).<\/li>\n<li>Title, category, and date of production of the video.<\/li>\n<li>Indicate if the video has been submitted for evaluation to other competitions.<\/li>\n<li>Indicate if the video has been awarded a prize in other competitions.<\/li>\n<li>Important: videos produced before 30 September 2017 or videos that have already been awarded a prize cannot participate<br \/>\nin the main competition but will be included in a competition for an honour mention.<\/li>\n<li>Short abstract of the topic covered by the video, and data sheet including language, duration, format, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Declaration of authorship. By submitting their video to the competition, the author\/s automatically declare to be authors<br \/>\nof the work and that it is not subject to any third-party property rights. The WATERLAT-GOBACIT Network reserves the<br \/>\nright to exclude from the competition those videos that do not comply with this requirement, at any moment, including<br \/>\nafter the final decision if any evidence emerges of anomalies with regard to the work\u2019s property rights. The author\/s<br \/>\nare fully responsible for any problems caused by violations to authors\u2019 rights in their videos.<\/li>\n<li>After receiving this document, we will inform the authors how to transfer the video file online.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>9. Deadline.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The reception of videos for the Competition <b>closed on 16 July 2018.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>10. Rights of dissemination<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The WATERLAT-GOBACIT Network reserves the right to use the videos presented to the Competition in its activities of education,<br \/>\nresearch, public debate, and any other relevant activities. All Network activities are non-profit. This does not infringe<br \/>\nthe rights of the authors to the acknowledgement of their authorship. The WATERLAT-GOBACIT Network uses the Creative Commons<br \/>\n\u2013 Attribution license and publishes its videos in its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/Waterlat\/featured\">Youtube channel<\/a>.<br \/>\nThe Network will be also able to use the videos for promotion purposes exclusively connected with this Competition.<\/p>\n<p><strong>11.
